The color of pencil lead with a light texture recalling the pencil's mark on drawings. The typical roughness of the metal comes from the laying of the steel block, and from its shaping at 700°. It is materic, yet smooth to the touch. Glass-line makes Graphite Peltrox® suitable for kitchens, improving its resistance to the most common acid agents.
Use a cotton or microfibre cloth dampened with water and neutral detergent, rubbing it all over the surface. Remove the remaining detergent with a clean cloth dampened only with water. Then, dry the surface. Always follow the direction of the satin finish. It is advisable to test any new cleaning agents on areas which are not on view.
To preserve the finish, it is advisable to avoid products containing muriatic acid, bleach or chlorine in general, as they can change the colour of the finish; deoxidising creams (like Smac), aggressive solvents such as ammonia or anti-limescale; abrasives (e.g. sponges) or products with micro particles, as they can scratch the surface. Prolonged contact with some substances generates generally light-coloured discolourations. It is advisable to rinse thoroughly in case of spillage on the surface.
